This year's 2017 scalloping season starts on July 25th and ends on September 5th.
The limit is 2 gallons whole bay scallops in shell, or 1 pint of bay scallop meat per person. Maximum of 10 gallons of whole bay scallops in shell, or 1/2 gallon bay scallop meat per vessel.
Port St. Joe is home to breathtaking scenery and aquatic wildlife. There are an abundance of sea turtles, string rays, sharks, dolphins, various birds, shells, and sea urchins.
I am Captain Shane Johnson, a second generation fishing captain. I was born in Port St. Joe Florida and I have fished local waters my whole life. I have had a charter fishing license for 16 years . I am passionate about fishing and have had the privilege of fishing with many families from all over the world. I enjoy passing on my fishing knowledge to children as well as adults.
We will be fishing on a 24 ft. Carolina Skiff with a 115 Yamaha motor. *Very roomy boat, with comfortable seating that can fish up to 6 people. Very shallow drafting boat which is ideal for flats fishing in shallow bays.*

All bait, tackle, licenses, and equipment will be provided. You bring drinks, snacks, and smiles for a great time on the bay!
